Tricia Davis, Senior Associate Tricia earned her law degree from Chicago-Kent College of Law and her undergraduate degree in political science and speech communications from The University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign.
She has been an attorney practicing immigration law since 1997 and worked for three years as an immigration paralegal prior to that. Her work has focused on business immigration including employer sponsored permanent residence and a wide array of temporary work visas. Currently, she is the firm’s expert on visas for individuals of extraordinary ability in the arts, sciences, education, business and athletics.
Tricia and Steve Navarre attended law school together while working at the same law firm as young paralegals. “We passed the bar during the same time, and we continued to work together as attorneys at a firm that specialized in immigration law for 5 years.” Tricia left the practice of law shortly after the birth of her second child and spent a number of years at home raising her four daughters. When her youngest child entered first grade, the opportunity arose to work for her friend and former colleague. Tricia jumped at the chance to resume her professional career.
“I really enjoy coming to work because I get to spend time doing what I love to do and to work with people who I consider to be good friends. I especially like working on complex cases, because they are incredibly interesting and challenging. Ultimately what I love most about immigration law is that I am helping people from all over the world to realize their lifelong dream of coming to the United States. It has also given me a greater appreciation for the country where I am from.”
Three things you may not know about Tricia: • She has been a dancer all her life and still takes dance classes in her free time. • She lived in Mexico for a short time in high school and has since mastered the art of guacamole. • She cannot not live without her camera and always carries it with her.
